Classroom quiz games can be great for formative assessment and can be fantastic for remediation or review. You’ve probably used (or at least heard of) the multiplayer gaming website Kahoot. Students LOVE it, and so do I! Quizizz is also player-paced while Kahoot’s pace is determined by the teacher. With Quizizz, players go through questions at their own pace and do not have to wait for the whole class to answer before continuing on to the next question. Since Quizizz does not rely on the whole class seeing questions projected on a big screen, Quizizz games have a "homework" option which can keep a quiz open for up to two weeks. With this option, Quizizz games can be assigned as homework or become part of a small group learning station. Creating quizzes in Quizizz is simple! You can start a quiz from scratch or copy and edit an existing quiz from their library. Each question must be multiple choice and have between two and four possible answer choices with only one correct answer. When you edit, you can teleport questions from other quizzes right into your current quiz. Comments are closed.
